Hello Creek Run Tribe!
Hello parents and campers! Welcome to the fourth edition of the 2019 on-line Trail Talk, Camp Creek Run's summer camp newsletter. We had a fun-filled week and we hope you did too!
At Camp Creek Run, music is always on the tip of our tongues! Our talented music director, Eli, has done some great work with our lower campers. They sing songs, they use instruments, they dance! The kids love to express themselves musically and CCR hopes to show them the way. We also have Open Mic Wednesdays to show off camper and staff skills to the tribe. Get out there and fill the woods with song!
In the Garden!
Our resident Master Gardener, Dani, has brought out a spectacular crop this summer in Dolittle Farm. Our campers assist with watering and weeding whenever they can and the results are amazing! Taking care of a large garden is a full time job and we hope that everyone gets a chance to see how the whole process works. Stop by and see what's growing up!
The Cherry on the Cake!
There are few things at camp that are wilder than the big Top Chef competition at CCR. Villages plan all week for the event. The groups were asked to create a cake and the theme was kid TV shows. The camp was very motivated. Teams are allowed to bring in one ingredient from home and must use one secret ingredient. The baking talent was exceptional and all the villages were involved in the creation of the edible masterpieces. It's a great way to bring villages together for one goal! Great work everyone!
