Week Six- 2018
Hello Creek Run Tribe!
Hello parents and campers! Welcome to the sixth edition of the 2018 on-line Trail Talk, Camp Creek Run's summer camp newsletter. We had a fun-filled week and we hope you did too!
At Camp Creek Run, music is in the air. During the day you can hear everything from Joni Mitchell to Taylor Swift to Cab Calloway on the camp loudspeaker. Our music director, Kaitlin, has been doing an awesome job with the lower camp in the mornings. And Adam is the MC for our weekly Open Mic Wednesdays. We also love out snack and lunch songs sung so lovingly over the loudspeaker everyday. CCR rocks!
Our annual Wacky Water Week festivities made a big splash with the kids! Thursday, we brought in a huge water slide and rotated the campers through some slippery water activities. Everything was flying around from bubbles to water balloons. Great work staff!
Fire It Up!
The Evesham Fire Department stopped by and made a big impression on the campers. The firemen showed the kids around one of their fire engines and talked about water safety. The fire engines are truly amazing pieces of technology where every square inch has a purpose. Thanks EFD for taking time out of your busy schedule!
All Synched Up!
To see twenty young swimmers do anything at the same time is miraculous! But Thursday, CCR was entertained by some majestic acts of aquatic feats! Our tremendous lifeguards guided our upper camp villages through our annual Synchronized Swimming competition! Each group brought their A game and glided through pool 1 with the greatest of ease. There can be no better team work activity than twenty kids standing on your hands in a pool... at the same time! Well done lifeguards!
