Week Five- 2018

Hello Creek Run Tribe!

Hello parents and campers! Welcome to the fifth edition of the 2018 on-line Trail Talk, Camp Creek Run's summer camp newsletter. We had a fun-filled week and we hope you did too!

If You Build It...

At Camp Creek Run, we like our campers to build things with their own hands. Every afternoon, the upper campers pick from many activity choices. They can make their own jewelry. Kids can make fancy recipes at cooking. Arts and crafts, pottery, and Slime Fridays give everyone a chance to get creative.

Is This On?

Open Mic Wednesdays is a chance for staff and campers to show off their talents. Adam is our MC and introduces all of the acts. Whether you can hula hoop or play an instrument or sing, OMW is open to all comers.

Three's Company!

You may have heard the news, Camp Creek Run has three more mouths to feed! This week both of our goats gave birth to their kids!  We had a goat name reveal party where we made cakes for the goats to eat in front of the campers - we baked orange cakes to represent girls, and a green cake to represent a boy.  Our campers gathered around the pen and as our goats bit into them and revealed the colors one at a time, we announced the sex and the name of each new baby goat to the campers.  Carnie's kid is a female named Sweet Pea, and Barbie had twins!  A male named Chewy and a female named Chippy. It was a fun week full of surprises. And baby goats!

The Mask!

Nothing seems to spark the imagination like a costume party. So at our annual Masquerade Ball, everyone does their best to not be seen...as themselves. All manner of funny and goofy masks were made and all of our tribe was so spirited during the after party dance-off. The whole camp spent the week putting together their costumes and the results did not disappoint! Thanks stff for all the hard work!
