Week Two - 2018

July 10, 2018

Hello Creek Run Tribe!

Hello parents and campers! Welcome to the second edition of the 2018 on-line Trail Talk, Camp Creek Run's summer camp newsletter. We had a fun-filled week and we hope you did too!

Sporting News!

We have great sports directors at Camp Creek Run! Our upper camp supervisor, Keith, and our lower camp supervisor, Carlie, keep all of our campers on their toes (with appropriate footwear, of course!). All of our kids roam the sports fields in all manner of games and activities. Morning sports allows the campers to work together as a team and participate in all kinds of social and physical situations. Make sure to get plenty of exercise at home as well! It's not all about steps, it's about getting outside and enjoying the fresh air!

Farming It Out!

Dolittle Farm looks so wonderful! We have added a huge enclosure for classes and all the animals are up and about enjoying the summer weather. Our chickens free range during the day and our rescued pot-bellied pig, Izzy, loves to bask in the sun in her enclosure. Our goats prance around the pen as we all wait to welcome a new baby goat (or two) to our farm family. Our rescued box turtles even peek their heads our once in awhile to see what the kids are up to. Make sure to visit our farm to say hi to our animal neighbors.

Independence Celebration!

There is nothing like watching adults catch cheese balls with their heads. Covered in shaving cream, of course. Or grand displays of athleticism on the concrete pad as talented hoola hoopers attempt to hoola forever. Yep, whether the camp is hunting for hidden treasure or swimming among giant swans, Independence Day activities are always a blast! Thanks to all the staff for their enthusiasm and we hope everyone enjoyed their holiday!
